Religion has joined the MS blog!

Hello parents!

I'm pleased to have this great tool to keep you updated on the happenings in 7th and 8th grade Religion.  We've enjoyed some lively discussions on the following themes:

  • God's amazing love for us
  • What's in our Bible
  • Old testament timeline
  • Covenants in the Old Testament
Today the students began working on a study guide for their test on Friday.  It will cover our understanding of the Old Testament.  Some information may be new, but much is a review of 6th grade.  It will provide our foundation as we begin looking at the New Testament.

The 8th grade has also planned 2 all-school Masses.  This week 7A will lead the school.  Next week 7B.

The 7th and 8th grade had the chance to hear from some of our students from last year! We talked a lot about being ready for high school and what skills would be helpful for our middle schoolers, regardless of what high school they choose. Thanks so much to our 9th graders for this great information! Feel free to talk to your child about what he or she learned.

7th Grade Social Studies

7th Grade Social Studies 7th Grade was given a project outline/requirements/instructions in class today.  This project will take the place of a written exam over chapter 3.  Students will be responsible for creating a written and oral presentation over a location they have chosen.  Students will need to complete research over the weekend so they are prepared to work in class Monday.  A helpful website has been posted under Social Studies Links for this project.    All projects will be due Thursday, Nov. 7th.   The oral presentations will take place in class Thursday and Friday; students are encouraged to have props and be creative!

Quarter 2 projects

Students received their quarter two projects today. We will work with these as we work through our reading this quarter.
