8th Grade Webquest

If you are finished with these questions, and there is still class time left, visit:  A.    http://www.bbc.co.uk/schools/victorians/flash/start_flash.shtml   This is a great website about Victorian children.  Click on “learning” under one of these categories: work, school, play.  After you watch a short video, play the game “Time Capsules: Victorians.”   Links from webquest:  http://www.pbs.org/wgbh/masterpiece/olivertwist/dickens_timeline_text.html http://charlesdickenspage.com/dickens_london_map.html http://www.english.uwosh.edu/roth/VictorianEngland.htm http://www.victorianweb.org/history/poorlaw/dietwh.html http://www.logicmgmt.com/1876/schoolday.htm   http://charlesdickenspage.com/reading_dickens.html http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Charles_Dickens http://www.mytimemachine.co.uk/?p=76

We had so much fun yesterday! Thanks to all the room moms who helped put together great parties. The middle schoolers enjoyed listening to "The Tell-Tale Heart" and practicing inferencing skills. Spooky Edgar Allan Poe set the Halloween mood nicely!
