Class Update

Students have been busy, busy, busy this week and the couple weeks before break! As the quarter comes to a close, there are upcoming tests and dates coming up: 
- 8th grade: 
  • Christmas Carol Test: WED 12/6
  • Field Trip: THURS 12/7
  • Essay: TUES 12/12
- 7th grade: 
  • Field Trip: MON 12/4
  • Test 12/12
Notebook checks will also be in the next two weeks. Any extra credit and book talks for the quarter are due on THURS 12/14. It's been wonderful to see the students feel excited about what we're reading. 





7th grade girls are getting very passionate about characters in the books we're reading, so much so that they're decorating my entire board!

The 7th and 8th grade had the chance to hear from some of our students from last year! We talked a lot about being ready for high school and what skills would be helpful for our middle schoolers, regardless of what high school they choose. 7th Grade Social Studies

7th Grade Social Studies 7th Grade was given a project outline/requirements/instructions in class today.  This project will take the place of a written exam over chapter 3.  Students will be responsible for creating a written and oral presentation over a location they have chosen.  Students will need to complete research over the weekend so they are prepared to work in class Monday.  A helpful website has been posted under Social Studies Links for this project.    All projects will be due Thursday, Nov. 7th.   The oral presentations will take place in class Thursday and Friday; students are encouraged to have props and be creative!

Quarter 2 projects

Students received their quarter two projects today. We will work with these as we work through our reading this quarter.
