Outsiders Day

7th grade families, 

We will have our annual Outsiders day next Thursday, March 10th. Students may choose to dress like a Greaser or a Soc.  We will be brainstorming in class what each group might have worn. Please email me if you have questions.

Here are pictures from last year's class to give you ideas. 

Some guidelines: 
- No weapons or cigarettes are allowed, even fake ones. 
- To stay true to the time period, we'll be avoiding leggings, sweats, and Ugg boots.
- All outfits should be school appropriate. 

We will also be watching the movie next week on Wednesday and Thursday. It is rated PG-13. Please contact me if you prefer that your child not watch it. This will not affect his or her grade.  

This is always a fun day!

We talked a lot about being ready for high school and what skills would be helpful for our middle schoolers, regardless of what high school they choose. 7th Grade Social Studies

7th Grade Social Studies 7th Grade was given a project outline/requirements/instructions in class today.  This project will take the place of a written exam over chapter 3.  Students will be responsible for creating a written and oral presentation over a location they have chosen.  Students will need to complete research over the weekend so they are prepared to work in class Monday.  A helpful website has been posted under Social Studies Links for this project.    All projects will be due Thursday, Nov. 7th.   The oral presentations will take place in class Thursday and Friday; students are encouraged to have props and be creative!

Quarter 2 projects

Students received their quarter two projects today. We will work with these as we work through our reading this quarter.
