Prayer Balloon found

One of the prayer balloons has been found! I received the email below:

Hi Miss Rajewski,
I found a red balloon with a bunch of students and teachers names on it.  I then looked the teachers names on Google and came up with Scared Heart Catholic School in Shawnee, Kansas.  Sure enough when I accessed your website, I see that you guys released prayer balloons.  The balloon made it all the way to Lake Springs, Missouri (a ~190 mile distance apart).  I thought that you might find interesting that the balloons travel such a great distance.

How neat is that?!

7th Grade Social Studies

7th Grade Social Studies 7th Grade was given a project outline/requirements/instructions in class today.  This project will take the place of a written exam over chapter 3.  Students will be responsible for creating a written and oral presentation over a location they have chosen.  Students will need to complete research over the weekend so they are prepared to work in class Monday.  A helpful website has been posted under Social Studies Links for this project.    All projects will be due Thursday, Nov. 7th.   The oral presentations will take place in class Thursday and Friday; students are encouraged to have props and be creative!

Quarter 2 projects

Students received their quarter two projects today. We will work with these as we work through our reading this quarter.
