For any students who are interested in acting, here is a press release from the KC Rep. Theatre, which is the group that the 8th graders go see in A Christmas Carol. The group sent it to me. We loved the play last year!


Youth Auditions for A Christmas Carol

Sunday, September 14, 2014 (5:30 – 8:30 PM) Monday, September 15, 2914 (3:30 – 8:30 PM)
Wednesday, September 17, 2014 (3:30 – 8:30 PM)

Auditions by Appointment Only. To schedule an audition appointment for Kansas City Rep’s Youth Auditions for A Christmas Carol, please fill out the form on our website (http://www.kcrep.org/about/audition/). If you have any questions, please email Melissa Koerner at koernerm@kcrep.org weekdays between 10 am-6 pm.
We are looking for strong actors and singers ranging in ages from 9 to 17. We’re seeking the following roles: Tiny Tim, Peter, Belinda, Ignorance, Want, School Kids, and many other roles for young actors and children. Also seeking two young actors with moderate to excellent experience playing the Violin.
Please prepare a one minute monologue, 16 bars of ‘Silent Night’ and be ready to perform a provided scene. An accompanist will be provided. If you play violin, please inform Ms. Koerner when you call to make your appointment.
Sides and further information about the production will be provided by e-mail once you’ve made your appointment.
Please bring a headshot and resume with updated contact info. You will be auditioning for Jerry Genochio, the director of A Christmas Carol, who is also Kansas City Repertory Theatre’s Producing Director.
