8th graders have been working hard to summarize the plot of To Kill a Mockingbird to prepare for their test Tuesday. 7th graders came up with some beautiful themes for their Outsiders theme quilt. Nice work!
The 7th and 8th grade had the chance to hear from some of our students from last year! We talked a lot about being ready for high school and what skills would be helpful for our middle schoolers, regardless of what high school they choose. Thanks so much to our 9th graders for this great information! Feel free to talk to your child about what he or she learned.
We've had fun this week finding figurative language! 8th graders even decorated the halls with some "tearable" puns. They made us laugh as we found them. Figurative language tests for both 7th and 8th grade will be Sept. 30th, which is the Wednesday after our 4-day weekend next week.
The 8th graders did a great job last week with Blackout Poetry as part of our narrative unit! They were working so hard to find the words they wanted in the newspaper.
